Hailing from Latrobe, Pennsylvania (home of Rolling Rock beer), Kristy knew at an early age she wanted to create stimulating graphics and design technology-driven art that promotes learning. In fact, it was Kristy's high school art teacher who encouraged her to pursue that line of work. "She would give me individual projects to complete on my own," Kristy recalls, "projects that encouraged me to think creatively." The same teacher recommended competitions for Kristy to enter, many of which led to awards and recognition. "She even had me redesign the Latrobe Steel logo," Kristy says, "not actually for Latrobe Steel, but just to give me something to think about." All of those side projects paid off for Kristy. After receiving her degree from Edinboro University (in Pennsylvania, not Scotland) Kristy spent 11 years with Concurrent Technology Corporation, developing graphic design and eLearning products. more »

Today, as ADG's director of creative services, Kristy harnesses her creativity and years of experience to develop web-based, multimedia training applications to implement enhanced learning solutions for our government and commercial clients. "I came across my Latrobe Steel logo designs not long ago," Kristy says, when asked about the type of work she does today. "It's amazing how you don't realize just how much you appreciate a person or mentor until years after the fact. The work I do now is certainly more than 'just something to think about'." « back
