ADG has many staff members who came here after fascinating professional journeys but none of them top Jeremy. Raised in Beaufort, South Carolina, the son of a minister, Jeremy studied at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. He maintained a 4.0 as a journalism student and was the most published columnist on the school paper, but discovered that his passions were shifting. "Somewhere along the way I decided I would rather be a part of history then read or write about it. Government, to me, was one place to be involved in history that's still in progress." After graduation, Jeremy wasted no time replicating his collegiate success. He immediately made his ambitions realities and started his career in government. He worked in the advance office for the campaign to reelect President Bush, and after a few other experiences ended up in the domestic policy office of Vice President Cheney, and later as a liaison in the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. All this while still in his twenties. You wouldn't think an ambitious man like Jeremy would have time to rest, but when he does he likes to work on vintage Camaros and listen to country music. "When I first got to Washington I realized that there weren't any decent country music stations in the area," he says. "So I went out and bought an old fashioned record player for $25 and repaired it myself. Then I bought a bunch of vinyl records for a buck a piece." Why, in this digital age, would someone buy scratchy, old records? Is Jeremy, of all things, cheap? "As my father would say, it's just being a good steward of your money. It's not cheap," he says with a wink. "The word is frugal." « back
