Entering the world in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Dan Whiting lived in the East and Midwest before realizing his heart has always been in the West. More specifically, the town of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, where he worked for Senator Larry Craig. Working for Craig for more than a decade, in Idaho and D.C., he left his post as Communications Director in 2008. From there, he worked in organizations that aligned with his love of the great outdoors, serving as Chief of Staff for the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service and the Director of Communications for the National Alliance of Forest Owners. Dan holds a BS in Human Resource Management from the University of Idaho and an MA in Mangement and Entrepreurship from Regent University. But when asked about what he brings to his work with ADG's federal strategy team, Dan's got a few ideas that extend beyond formal education: "A unique perspective from my time in the political arena, the ability to juggle several projects at once, a tenacity to get things done and a sense of humor." « back  |  more »

An avid—or perhaps it's compulsive—traveler, Dan's been to all 50 states and five continents—and more than a mile below the surface of the Earth. But now, he's happy to hang his hat at ADG. While we haven't actually seen the hat, we like to imagine it's a giant sombrero or maybe a ten-gallon Stetson with tasteful leather accents. He spends much of his downtime on home improvement projects, woodworking, cooking and hanging out with his favorite ladies in the world, his wife Sunshine ("Yes, that's her real name and, no, her parents aren't hippies") and his daughter Amelia. « back
